New Jersey's Favored Orchestral Masters to Revive the Great Broadway and Silver Screen Composers at the Stafford Township Arts Center's OceanFirst Theater

MANAHAWKIN - In December 2006, the Garden State Philharmonic gave the new Stafford Township Arts Center's OceanFirst Theater something to truly be merry about in its first holiday season - the venue's first sold-out presentation. More than 800 music devotees embraced the popular sounds of the season and even added their unique voices to a whimsical holiday sing-along. Now, New Jersey's favored orchestral masters return to the OceanFirst Theater stage to celebrate spring with an entirely new work THE BEST SOUNDS OF BROADWAY AND THE SILVER SCREEN on Sunday, May 6, 2007 at 3:00 pm. The Garden State Philharmonic promises yet another not-to-be-missed program of dynamic music under the direction of conductor Anthony LaGruth. Listeners will be taken on a music tour of Broadway and the classic era of the silver screen while paying homage to the greatest composers of the last century. Tickets for this Garden State Philharmonic program are on sale now. Visit the STAC Box Office in-person located at 1000 McKinley Avenue in Manahawkin, call (609) 489-8600, or visit STAC online 24 hours a day at www.njstac.com. Full price tickets are $28. Discounted rates apply for senior citizens 55 and older, students 13 to College (with ID), children 12 and younger, and groups of 12 or more when purchased in-person or by telephone.

The programming of the Stafford Township Arts Center and the OceanFirst Theater, as well as the annual Young at Art Show, the Stafford Hall of Fame, and Stafford Education Services (Preschool and Extended Day), are extensions of the Stafford Township Education Foundation. The Stafford Township Educational Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to establishing and maintaining a positive partnership between the Stafford Township School District, the business community and the residential community, strives to provide lifelong educational opportunities that assist children and adults to achieve their full potential. The Stafford Township Education Foundation supports the mission of the school district and believes that every child has unique interests, aptitudes and talents that must be nurtured. The Foundation identifies and secures financial resources and develops partnerships that provide experiential programs to extend lifelong educational opportunities. These and other programs of the Stafford Township Education Foundation are made possible, in part, thanks to generous financial and in-kind support from OceanFirst Foundation, OceanFirst Bank, the Stafford Township School District, Commerce Bank, and a growing list of business and individual contributors.
