MANAHAWKIN - In December 2006, the Garden State Philharmonic gave the new Stafford Township Arts Center's OceanFirst Theater something to truly be merry about in its first holiday season - the venue's first sold-out presentation. More than 800 music devotees embraced the popular sounds of the season and even added their unique voices to a whimsical holiday sing-along. Now, New Jersey's favored orchestral masters return to the OceanFirst Theater stage to celebrate spring with an entirely new work THE BEST SOUNDS OF BROADWAY AND THE SILVER SCREEN on Sunday, May 6, 2007 at 3:00 pm. The Garden State Philharmonic promises yet another not-to-be-missed program of dynamic music under the direction of conductor Anthony LaGruth. Listeners will be taken on a music tour of Broadway and the classic era of the silver screen while paying homage to the greatest composers of the last century.
