Barnegat's 7th Annual Heritage Day will be this Saturday, June 6th. Again, we will not be allowed to celebrate all that is good in Barnegat. There will be no activities planned to express Barnegat's pride and heritage, there will be no cultural events, and the children will not be enjoying their unique culture that makes them who they are. There will be absolutely no activity in the downtown area yet again, and that is a shame.

Barnegat's Twp. Committee has pulled its support for Barnegat's only non-political day of town pride for the 4th year in a row. It is with great regret that the people -- and most of all the children of Barnegat -- will be denied this very special day to show their town pride. Barnegat should be better than this. Hopefully in the future we will have leadership in Barnegat that is supportive of our pride and rich heritage.
