EDITOR'S NOTE: DowntownBarnegat.com received this letter from Barnegat resident Charles Giles. Dear Friends, I am writing this letter to you in regards to my 9/11 case. As you have all been supporting me through the last 1 1/2 years my family has been extremly humbled. About 3 weeks ago I won my case after 7 1/2 years. I would have been awarded a little over $35,000 plus bi-weekly payments for the rest of my life whatever that may be. Once again a 9/11 First Responder has gotten screwed.

Now the Insurance carrier Neumann Claim Administrators of Buffalo, NY have appealed the case. This after me going to all of their doctors & their doctors finding that all of my illnesses are directly related to my work & exposure at Ground Zero.

So this brings me back to Square number 1. I wanted to send out this email to all my friends so that you would be aware that I have resigned my position at The Fealgood Foundation as Asst. to the VP. I must now figure a way to care for my family. I still emplore everyone that The Fealgood Foundation is a Phenominal Outstanding Organization and to please continue doing whatever you

may be doing for them. I just will not be on their Board anymore. I ask that you please pray for my wife Diane, Daughters Kaitlin & Clarissa & Myself as we start this process again with the appeal. I thank You all for the support you have all shown my family. It does not go unnoticed. Note that I will not stop my work of talking about 9/11 till every responder gets what we deserve from the government along with the dignity & respect we have all been denied.
