This is an open letter to you, my friends and neighbors here in Barnegat. Election day is here. Tuesday November 6th, we all have a choice to make and it's an important one. What is the most important thing that we can do -- together -- to improve the quality of life for all of the residents of our Township? I believe that the most important thing we can do is change the direction of the current Township Committee. That's why I am running for the Committee and why I'm asking you for your vote on Tuesday.

Like you, I've had it up to here with the lame excuses we've been given for the Township Tax Increase, and I'm mad about the Committee members who lied to us in last years campaign promising no tax increases. When the lone Democrat on the Township Committee proposed a resolution to give an across the board 10% reduction in assessments, my opponent voted against it! Like you, I want to see a Barnegat that takes the issues of growth (traffic control, infrastructure improvements, recreation) seriously. Where we get all the services we pay for. Where our kids and grandkids get the protection they need at school with a fully-funded SRO at our middle school. I want to see small business owners get the same encouragement that we give to big residential developers -- not roadblocks.

This is a great Town, but it's taken some really bad turns in the past 5 years. If we don't make some changes on the Committee, we're not going to see any real change any time soon. I have no ambitions beyond serving the residents of Barnegat. Thanks to the neglect and the hidden agendas of our current committee, there's a lot of really important work to do. I'm asking you to hire me to do that work.
