The People of Barnegat Respect Everyone's Rights!

Once again we had a tremendous response to our Poll question. Just like the overwhelming rejection of Ronald Reagan's name being placed on our new elementary school, this poll ("Should smoking be banned in every public place throughout Barnegat?") also had a large amount of participation. Although many of us do not smoke, the people wisely voted 82% to 18% not to ban smoking in EVERY public space in Barnegat. Smoking is already prohibited in many areas -- including school grounds & playgrounds. Smokers also have rights and the people of Barnegat are smart enough to respect that. Good job...and keep on voting!! The more votes we get, the more chance we have to really make a difference. Our town knows who we want our school named after, and now they know that we respect each other's rights. Click here to see final poll results >>
